Yusei Iseya is a minor character in NEO: The World Ends with You. He is a young math prodigy, the younger brother of Mai Iseya, and student of Kana Inada.

Appearance[]

Yusei is a young schoolboy. He wears black shoes, a grey T-shirt with a white line around the bottom hem, blue shorts, and a cyan backpack with black straps. His face is featureless but he has pale skin and black hair.

Personality[]

Yusei is only interested in mathematics and feels his talents are unnoticed. He dreams to be a great mathematician and to get a Fields Medal. He was able to recognize digits of a large prime number from the mumblings of Sho Minamimoto. His single interest in math makes him loathe the rest of his studies, to the point of considering skipping cram school and running away from home to avoid the consequences of not doing them. His behavior worries both his older sister Mai Iseya and his tutor Kana Inada.

Story[]

NEO: The World Ends with You[]

Yusei's only appearance is in the sidequest "Good Noise Hunting" on HEAD2HEAD (Week 1, Day 5). Nagi finds him possessed by Noise as he is torn between wanting to skip cram school and getting in trouble if he goes home. Using her Dive ability, Nagi and the Wicked Twisters erase the Noise and learn about Yusei's love of math. Nagi notes his mind was unusually strong for a child. Rindo thinks that Yusei would get along with Minamimoto.
