LiVing LeGend is a day in NEO: The World Ends with You.

Synopsis

• Rindo receives a Trailer about failing and being attacked by Tsugumi Matsunae's Mr. Mew.
• The Wicked Twisters search for Neku in Tokyu Plaza but Tsugumi captures him first and brings him to the Scramble Crossing to erase him.
• Rindo uses Replay to go back and search the areas around 104 Building, Center Street, and Shibuya Hikarie, but fails to find Neku.
• Rindo deduces Neku is at the West Exit Bus Terminal, and gets there just as Tsugumi does.
• The Wicked Twisters fight Tsugumi's Mr. Mew and defeat him
• The hooded figure reveals he is not Neku but Beat.
• Beat joins the Game as a Player at Tanzo Kubo's suggestion, and accepts Fret's invitation to join the Wicked Twisters.

The Twisters search the city for the legendary Neku Sakuraba, but are unable to find him before he is apparently erased by Tsugumi Matsunae. Using Replay, Rindo leads the Twisters directly to his location and helps defeat Tsugumi, but it transpires that the masked figure is not Neku but Daisukenojo "Beat" Bito, who joins the Reaper's Game as a Player at Tanzo Kubo's suggestion.

• Rhyme is seen again.

Sidequests

• Identity Crisis: Rindo imprints advice onto Eiru about how to deal with his high voice.
• A Peroxidoll's Problem: Nagi Dives into the mind of Ammonia Banks to erase the Noise possessing her over the rumours about her relationship with Kashiki.

Plot

Rindo is shocked by the mission and asks Shoka Sakurane why they would set this mission, and she replies that the Reapers are interested in recruiting Neku, and that if he defeats a team of players it will prove that he is who he claims to be. She laughs at the suggestion that Rindo could recruit Neku.

After the Twisters spend time searching areas of the city for Neku, interacting with members of other teams who are also searching for him, they return to the Scramble Crossing where Neku has been defeated by Tsugumi Matsunae. Tanzo Kubo encourages her to erase him, claiming that as he is neither a Player nor a Reaper he can be treated as Noise. Rindo is forced to use his Replay ability multiple times to search the city and locate Neku before Tsugumi does.

After finally finding the correct location, the Twisters are forced into a fight with Tsugumi's animated stuffed animal Mr. Mew. The masked interloper then reveals that he is not Neku, but Daisukenojo "Beat" Bito. This means that the mission for the day, which was to defeat Neku, is now void. Tanzo Kubo invites Beat to join the Game as a Player, and Fret invites Beat to join their team.

Trivia

• This is the first occasion in which Rindo is apparently able to Replay to places he did not visit the first time around, by changing his actions at the moment the group decided where to go.
