- Card Combo type 1: Hanafuda Cards:
- Based on iroha-garuta. A "reading card" is visible above, showing a Japanese letter. The ending on the combo tree includes options of karuta cards, and the player must match it with the Japanese letter. Partly similar to Shiki's card line-up.
- Card Combo type 2: Koi-Koi Cards:
- Based on the game Koi-Koi. Concept still being made...
- Fusion Boost Hayatate: Hayatate sticker. Increases Hayatate's max Fusion level. He receives one level for each sticker you collect. It may be wise to use lower level fusions instead of waiting for high level fusions, since you may run the risk of not being able to collect stars later on when against strong enemies!
- Safe Landing Hayatate: Hayatate sticker. If an enemy attack sends Hayatate flying, press a button to recover in midair and avoid getting knocked down. You can take extra damage if a knockback attack sends you to the asphalt. Land safely to avoid getting kicked around!
- Quick-Draw: Hayatate sticker. Press the button opposite the direction Hayatate is attacking and he will quickly lunge backwards to give an invisible slash backwards, stunning his enemies and quickly resuming his combo. Neku's partner takes increased damage when attacked from behind. Use Quick-Draw to keep both sides in check!
- Counter Hayatate: Hayatate sticker. Press down on the +Control Pad (or the B Button) while he is idle and he will counter his enemy's next attack. Hayatate can't counter everything that comes at him, but if he succeeds, along with not taking damage, he will inflict damage back to the side that attacked with a slash along with stunning all the enemies inflicted. A great defense can be a great offense!
- Leap: Hayatate sticker. Press up on the +Control Pad (or the X Button) while he is idle and he will jump high into the air. While aerial comboes last for a shorter duration, each strike is more powerful to make up for it. With his Reverse-Slash, Hayatate can move between foes on the ground to foes in the air and back.
