Tomonami is a fictional character from the fictitious otome game Elegant Strategy in NEO: The World Ends with You. He is described as a general wielding a Japanese sword and the object of Nagi Usui's affection - she has an itabag of him and obsesses over Sho Minamimoto because he resembles Tomonami. When Fret plays the game, he takes a note of how much Tomonami smiles at him in the game and wants to see where it goes. According to Nagi, Sho's cruel and aloof personality notably differs from Tomonami's, much to her disappointment. He is shown to be a very popular character with other women as well - Sayoko Morohoshi, Marino Orihara, and Yuika Kaga are also Tomonami fans.
His voice actor advertised Reaper Pins in the RG, motivating Nagi to buy one of her own.[1]
Trivia[]
- While not an anagram of "Minamimoto", Tomonami uses the same letters. If one divides Tomonami into four segments, it becomes "TO"|"MO"|"NA"|"MI". Using these four pairs, it is possible to form "Minamimoto" using them ("MI"|"NA"|"MI"|"MO"|"TO"), albeit using "MI" twice.

Nagi: Sigh... I've left my life behind and I've nothing to show for it, save this wretched pin.
Rindo: Wait—"pin"? What kinda pin?
Nagi: A rather nondescript one. It failed to pique my interest until Lord Tomonami's voice actor sang its praises. Granted, a few other EleStraniacs mentioned falling on hard times after picking up pins of their own. But who was I to question His Radiance's commercial endorsement?
