About the Game[]

Needs more about the game for people clicking in from being in the wikia spotlight. Currently doesn't tell someone what the game is actually about.

Big Crunch Pin[]

This is going to sound really stupid but...what does it DO!?LuminousChaos 03:47, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

It has to be used in a set with Big Bang. almost all Gatito pins are in a set. they need each other. -- Wiequadrat 06:16, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Exploit SDPP[]

ehm i found a way to cheat legally in TWEWY. where should i post it?.... well if this is illegal for the site then feel free to delete it from this page.

To get SHDP easily by changing the date back 7 days ago. and then save the game. after that move the date back to now. and voila ... you get 144 + 72 + 36 + 18 + 9 + 9 + 9 = 297 SDPP --Wiequadrat 06:16, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

hehe it's an exploit, but exploits are not illegal. in multiplayer games they may be unethical, but in single-player games exploits are perfectly fine ^^

Sales[]

Wiki had previously this text in the Sales section. It is now believed to be incorrect due to poor quality of data at VGChartz. Please keep this text here in the Talk page for reference, but do not include it in the main page.

The game achieved #5 sales rank in the US in the first week after its release, selling around 70,000 copies -- just a little short of Japan's first-week performance of ~80,000 copies. As of May 6, 2008, the game sold a total of ~300,000 copies in NA and Japan. The data for Europe is unavailable, but it appears the game never made it to the region's Top 30.

Ingame Media and Sprites[]

I've noticed that the wiki has the ingame sprites for pins and items posted. Excellent work, considering that ripping from the game is rediculously hard. So I'm curious, just how was it done? No$GBA won't play it properly, and UNlz_GBA tile reader crashes upon trying to extract it. :V If the generous benefactor of the sprites isn't willing to reveal his secrets, a .zip of the sprites wouldn't go amiss either. =D

GrooveMan.exe 23:11, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

I don't know about anyone else, but I tried using a combination of Tahaxan for decompression, Tile Molester to properly view the tiles, GGD to find the appropriate palette, and MSPaint to finish assembling the tiles into a coherent sprite. And I was only going through to rip the badges whose graphics changed from the Japanese to the not-Japanese versions of the game. For more info, Ragey of Tenchi Online has a better explanation of how to use all of them, whose advice I may or may not have disregarded. >_>; Tessara 23:42, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Fighting Blue Noise multiple times[]

blue noise is so rare, and i always try to fill all the stars in the noise list everytime i met a new noise. so how can we keep fight blue noise? it easy.

1. fight the blue noise at any level (i usually fight in hard)

2. after you win, go to other area

3. save, shutdown or what ever.

4. change the date to other date (or wait for tomorrow)

5. go back to the area, and scan for that blue noise

i usually fight the second time in level 1 at normal, after that fight again for the 3rd time at easy. I haven't got the ultimade mode. hope it's work for you.... --Wiequadrat 04:42, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Don't you think fighting on easy, then normal, then hard would make more sense? That way, you've gotten used to the noise by the time you fight it on hard.Composer 15:34, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

oh yes that's true. it's just that i always play as hard, and just want to get over it. and playing hard makes me easier to understand the behaviour of the noise. in easy they usually end up dead in more less than a minute and haven't use the deadly moves... well just my own style of playing --Wiequadrat 05:15, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Umm... don't Blue Noises come back when you just leave and reenter the area?
Silktail 20:51, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
They sure do! --Urth 09:09, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Another Day[]

When talking with Hanekoma on top of Pork City in Another Day, a gigantic red Noise symbol hovers on the top screen, and Hanekoma mentions "it's visible from here as well" and that he'll have to take drastic action before giving alternate-Neku a "test". What exactly is he talking about at this point? Is this a potential tie-in to TWEWY 2, or did I just miss something in the story? Maybe there is something that threatens the wider framework, that will be developed more in the sequel? Anyone have any thoughts? -ROMzombie

You didn't miss anything. There is no precedent to that conversation in the main storyline, and I personally believe it would be outrageous to not give this incredible game a sequel, so I can definitely see this as a potential tie-in. Kariya 22:49, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Sorry to disappoint you, but I don't think it's a tie-in or anything of the sort. It's just like when you talk to Joshua before you start the AD main quest and he talks about why Shiki still appears in Eri's body even though they aren't in the UG. They copied the Reaper's Game's mechanics for use in the bonus chapter even though it takes place in the RG, and they felt compelled to try to explain why these mechanics were still available to be used. Thus Mr H hints that Noise have been showing up in planes other than the Noise plane, to explain why the Noise are present at all in Another Day, when they logically should not be.

My Difficulty is screwed up![]

For some reason when I try to get some pins on hard or ultimate it it gives me pin from Hard or Normal? Can some help me here? T.T SomeOtherPerson 0:[1] 13:10, 07 November 2009 (UTC) Don't even know what UTC is...

It's not a problem with the difficulty, it's an intentional game mechanic. Pin drops are affected both by difficulty and drop rate. Each difficulty level for each Noise has a different percent chance of producing a pin, and higher drop rates increase that percentage. If a battle fails to produce a pin from your current difficulty, it will try to produce a pin from the next difficulty level down, and so on, until it succeeds or you fail to get a drop from Easy. If you're having trouble getting the drops you want, you can increase your drop rate by initiating large chain battles, lowering your level in the phone menu, or eating some Curious Mushrooms or Absolute Shadow Ramen. --Marshmello 20:52, November 7, 2009 (UTC)
