Dominant PP determination?[]

Can anyone explain how the 9x and 20x factors were determined for Shutdown PP(SDPP) and Mingle PP(MPP)? Thanks! Iceman B 20:49, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

You mean; how they were worked out? Well SDPP 9*dominance was already known about from the Japanese version, so I guess I can't help you there (we did double check it though). As for MPP 20*dominance, its discovery and researched was covered in Talk:Growth_Speed#MPP_evolution. Silktail 23:51, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
I still had an unanswered question: i get like 50 MPP for a pin, it`s a tiny scratch of red color for a fresh pin. But i keep earning BPP and red part of bar grows greatly. How does 1:20 MPP ratio involve BPP?? 46.39.46.163 16:06, September 4, 2013 (UTC)

Merging[]

Hi, I merged the pages together (BPP, SDPP, MPP) into the main PP page for easier and simpler access. If anyone could delete the other three pages (I don't know how), thank you very much. :]

SDPP or MPP?[]

Out of curiousity, which one would benefit pin grinding in the long run? Singing Dragon 20:42, March 25, 2011 (UTC)

Both are the best, to be honest. If you would like quick PP, go for SDPP, since you can fiddle around with the DS Clock. MPP is best when filling up SDPP-evolving pins.

It all depends on the pins. Adaeque 20:47, March 25, 2011 (UTC)

SDPP + Happy Beam[]

Could anyone tell me how much SDPP I need before I can use BPP without worrying about evolving Happy Beam? It evolves by BPP, and I don't want it to evolve, so how much SDPP do I need to make it dominant enough not to evolve (so I can use BPP as filler to Master it)? My DS's top screen is totally black, so I can't see for myself. o_o; Thanks. 69.171.164.218 20:58, June 26, 2011 (UTC)
