"Shibuya's... solidifying? But this town's supposed to be about conflict. I know that now. I was afraid to clash, afraid to change. I didn't want to hear it. But Mr. H woke me up... and this is not Shibuya!"
Neku to himself

Stride is a day in The World Ends with You. For the Animation equivalent, see The Countless Wrongs of Our Day.

Events[]

  • Shibuya is fully taken over by the O-Pins.
  • Neku and Beat find a keypin to the Shibuya River in a destroyed WildKat.
  • Sho Minamimoto attacks Neku and Beat, revealing himself to be the one who attacked WildKat and his plans to take on the Composer.

Plot[]

Neku and Beat wake up at the Scramble Crossing while they were heading to Cat Street. Beat panics, but Neku calms him down and tells him they should continue to Cat Street to see Hanekoma. On the way, they see everyone in an unsettlingly quiet Shibuya has glowing red eyes and repeating the same message, even being attacked by Reapers possessed by them.
At the entrance from Miyashita Park, Neku and Beat see the wall is broken like the wall to Udagawa from the day before. Beat assumes it's Hanekoma returning to his lair, but Neku tells him they should see Hanekoma before they jump to conclusions. They arrive at WildKat to find it wrecked. Beat suspects it was Hanekoma who did it, but Neku says he was attacked by whoever broke the walls, but he doesn't know who it'd be. Neku remembers the camera, but while he's thinking, Beat tries it and uses up all three shots, but one of his photos shows Hanekoma hiding something in the back of WildKat. Neku takes it and finds a keypin and a letter saying to enjoy the moment. Beat doesn't recognize it, and Neku concludes its a keypin to the Shibuya River.
Hanekoma hiding
At Cadoi City, Beat notices a heap of garbage. Neku is shocked to see Sho Minamimoto resurrected from Taboo Noise. He says he was planning it from square one and his power rivals the Composer. Neku realizes Minamimoto was the one who destroyed WildKat, and Minamimoto asks if they know where Hanekoma was. When Neku says they don't know, Minamimoto attacks. He overpowers Neku and Beat then rushes to the Shibuya River. Beat is anxious, but Neku calms him with how Minamimoto doesn't know where the Composer would lurk and they're the ones who have the key. Neku warns him that the Composer will be as powerful as Minamimoto, and Beat runs off to the river.

Walkthrough[]

Get to Cat Street. While there aren't any planned obstacles, there's a random chance to be attacked by Reapers when moving between loading zones. At Cat Street, head to WildKat. After receiving the keypin, begin backtracking until at Cadoi City. Either investigate the heap or try to walk past and a Taboo Sho Minamimoto will attack - in this Taboo form, he's an extremely difficult opponent, but victory is optional and the fight will end if enough time passes. Running out of HP in this fight won't lead to a Game Over, but actually end the chapter.
