Sawa Kato (born February 1983[1]), also known by her stage names SAWA and Nadia, is a Japanese singer-songwriter. She has worked with The World Ends with You composer Takeharu Ishimoto on several occasions. She wrote lyrics for and sang some of the songs on The World Ends with You's soundtrack.
Biography[]
SAWA met Takeharu Ishimoto when she was offered to write lyrics and sing for The World Ends with You. She and Ishimoto formed the band SAWA with Ishimoto in October 2008. In December, they released their debut experimental album, 333. After SAWA disbanded she was part of Ishimoto's band The Death March, playing and re-arranging music composed by Ishimoto.
SAWA retired from professional singing after a jaw injury.[2]
