Progfox is an optional Boss in The World Ends with You. Due to its super attack, similar in style to a Fusion, it is often considered a weak "superboss" by players. However, it is not the game's true superboss.

Strategy

Both Neku and Joshua must have a high attack and defense stat, not to mention very high HP, to defeat Progfox. Progfox uses its Teleport attack a lot, so it will be difficult for Neku to keep up. Shockwave pins should not be equipped on Neku because Progfox's Tail Flames revolving around the Noise will cause Attack Break. When Progfox fires one of its tails, Neku should eliminate them quickly, since Progfox will absorb them to turn them into much stronger things. They have 100 HP each, so it shouldn't be that difficult for Neku to destroy them. The Progfox's "Fusion" attack is actually Tin Pin Bahamut's Mega Flare attack - this inflicts massive damage and could cause the battle to be over quickly. Neku should be sure to heal after Progfox uses this attack.

An easy way to defeat Progfox is to utilize Tin Pin Fire which activates HP Drain on Progfox, diminishing Progfox's 5000 HP by a percentage over time, which is a much more efficient damage-dealer than any other method given Progfox's extremely high HP. This effect can be prolonged with the use of Strong Heart by Pavo Real or any other Life Blight inducing pin, which will increase HP Drain duration. Neku also needs to remember to do some non HP Drain damage on Progfox when it is on its last points of HP, due to the fact that HP drain alone cannot kill Progfox but only take its HP down to 1.
