- "Aha! People had been messaging me after all! Glad to know I'm still popular. Oh, and thanks for the help. Laterz."
- — Maito to the Wicked Twisters
Maito Minami (三波 マイト Minami Maito) is a member of the Variabeauties in NEO: The World Ends with You.
Appearance[]
Maito has olive skin, light brown eyes and grey hair. He wears a dark grey cap with a white rectangle on it. He wears a white shirt with an image of an island on it, with the lower part of the shirt fading to blue as part of a gradient, representing the water. Over top, he wears a brown jacket that is faded in some parts. His green pants have a number of symbols and flags on them. He wears yellow sneakers with black laces.
Personality[]
He is a relatively earnest man whom Kanon Tachibana views as being reliable. As most of his teammates are too glib to function, he is stuck communicating with the team's rivals. He has blocked Sumio Tanaka on multiple occasions due to his constant text messages, feeling Sumio can not take "no" for an answer.
Story[]
On Week 2, Day 3, during the Scramble Slam, at the 104 Building, Sumio finds Maito; the Variabeauties and Purehearts team up together to fight the Wicked Twisters. After the teams are defeated, Sumio and Maito have disappeared.
Maito manages to survive into week three with the rest of the Variabeauties. Maito is part of the sidequest Ghosted on Week 3, Day 1. He can be found in Tipsy Tose Hall. After Fret uses Remind on Maito to remember Kanon, Maito remembers he blocked all incoming and outgoing messages to get away from Sumio, turning on airplane mode, but he forgot to disable it. He thanks the Twisters and leaves.
On Week 3, Day 3, Maito is erased from existence along with the rest of the Variabeauties.
