"You have one minute... to erase that girl. Yup! Poof! Kaput! Easy, right? Just pretend you're erasing the noise. Whew, this one's already in the bag. Alright. Ready? Start!"

Plot[]

Neku and Shiki awake in the Station Underpass and receive their mission mail not long after. Their mission is to "set the cursed sculpture free." Shiki tries to figure out what the mission means and concludes that they have to get to The Statue of Hachiko while Neku still tries to come to terms with the reality of The Game. He's shocked to find out that an entire day passed since they cleared the first mission and that they woke up somewhere other than the 104 building. While he ponders this, he ignores Shiki. Shiki tries to get through to him but when he continues to ignore her, she asks herself what she's doing wrong as she looks at her phone.
Neku and Shiki try to leave the underpass and go to Hachiko but are stopped by another wall. Neku noticed a red-hooded Reaper near the wall just like the previous day and tries to scan him. He finds that he is unable to. This is followed by the Reaper making his way to Neku and Shiki and asking them to Erase every Noise in the area. Neku understands this as the conditions to clear the wall. Shiki notes that there are no Noise in the area but Neku deduces that The Noise can only be found by scanning. But before they fight, Shiki asks Neku if he's able to use any other pins and Neku learns that he can use a variety of psychs. Shiki also notices Neku has a second Player Pin, but both are unsure why.
After defeating the Noise, the wall is cleared and Neku and Shiki are able to leave the Underpass. However, they are quickly confronted by Beat who mistakes them for Reapers since he can't scan them. However, he is held back by Rhyme who reasons that if they have Player Pins then they must be Players and that Players must not be able to scan one another. Beat apologizes for his behavior and recounts how Uzuki had attacked them the previous day. To make it up to Shiki, Beat and Rhyme give them more information on how to use their phones and about the nature of The Game. However, Neku remains distant and expresses that he still can't trust any of them. Rhyme empathizes with him leading to her feeling down. This causes Beat to lash out at Neku and leave with Rhyme.
HachikoBS
On the way to Hachiko, Neku and Shiki are forced to clear a wall that requires them to Erase the Noise possessing the Moyai statue. As they arrive at Hachiko they are watched from a distance by Yodai Higashizawa. Neku and Shiki quickly notice that there are no Noise in the area. Shiki notices that the statue looks different in some way. Through scanning, they are able to find out that they need to polish the statue. Upon doing so, the Garage Wolf possessing it leaps out and attacks them. The pair work together to Erase it, clearing the mission.
Uzuki is then shown to be standing nearby and shows annoyance that Neku and Shiki have managed to still escape Erasure. She tries to attack them using a Metal Corehog but Neku and Shiki Erase that as well. She begins to summon more Noise and to end the conflict, Neku makes his way to attack Uzuki. Uzuki, desiring a real battle, Erases her own Noise to fight Neku. However, Shiki stops Neku from fighting Uzuki.
Neku Chokes Shiki
Uzuki (still wishing to Erase them) offers Neku a "bonus challenge" that she says will let him out of The Game upon completion. Shiki tries to protest but Neku agrees anyway. Uzuki informs him that he has one minute to Erase Shiki and that failure to do so will lead to his Erasure. To further incentivize Neku, she tells Neku that Shiki is a spy for the Reapers. Neku realizes this must be why she was always looking at her phone. Realizing that he has no choice but to follow through, Neku uses psychokinesis to lift Shiki off the ground by her neck.

Walkthrough[]

Move towards the exit. After the conversation, start scanning. His conditions for removing the wall also double as a tutorial for the different Pin psychs and controls. Scan again to find three Noise and defeat them. Exit to Station Underpass to meet Beat and Rhyme and ask them all the questions. Once it's unlocked, go into the phone menu and select two pins to use in battle using the Pins menu. Walk upwards and speak to the man beside the Moyai Statue. Move towards the exit. Scan near the Moyai Statue and defeat the Negative Noise. Exit to Statue of Hachiko after the Reaper lifts the wall. Scan, then move towards Hachiko. Optionally, ask Shiki about Hachi Fest or look at the statue. Select "Scout for more info" when done, and move back into West Exit Bus Terminal. Speak to the man standing by the Moyai Statue. Return to Statue of Hachiko and polish. Three Garage Wolves will attack; when defeated, a Metal Corehog and two Garage Wolves will attack. Try to stun and defeat the Garage Wolves first before taking on the Corehog, defeating it, and finishing the chapter.
If doing the Secret Reports: the Sailor Suit is gotten by talking to the man again after the Reaper clears the wall to Statue of Hachiko, and the Pig Noise are located above the entrance to the Station Underpass and the upper right of Hachiko.
