CAT is a company in The World Ends with You, although CAT is also used to refer to its mysterious main artist. This company is the designer of the Player Pin and the O-Pin. The company is also the "buyer" for Gatito.

Neku Sakuraba is a huge fan of this company's work and CAT the artist, and he often looks at CAT's graffiti spread throughout Shibuya. His graffiti can be seen in Udagawa Back Streets, and Towa Records, as well as in the Trail of the Judged in the Shibuya River.

Later in the game, it is revealed that CAT is Sanae Hanekoma. As of NEO: The World Ends with You, Hanekoma is no longer active as CAT, but notes resuming his work as CAT in the future is not out of the question.

CAT's motto is "Enjoy every moment with all you've got." Many people in Shibuya seem to agree with CAT's ideology, as seen in thought fragments. However, some of them wear his pins only to be "cool," as CAT's pins get popular.

As detailed in the Secret Reports, CAT's art is supernaturally imbued with certain imprinting codes. The two command codes are: "enjoy the moment" and "gather". His art acts as a medium for mass imprinting. He does this because the "creation of the future" requires "Imagination".

CAT is in Kingdom Hearts 3D (The World Ends With You Easter Egg)

CAT's appearance in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance

CAT's artwork has made an appearance in Traverse Town in Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. The appearance of CAT is virtually identical to that of his in The World Ends With You. You will see the mural after completing certain storyline tasks in Dream Drop Distance.

Trivia

• The idea of CAT, a graffiti artist with an anonymous identity, may have been inspired by Banksy, a famous street artist known for their social commentary with their graffiti. MKN is also a graffiti artist in the series who is said to create graffiti of social satire.
• The CAT logo was modified between the Japanese and English version. Its eyes were a Cross of Saint Peter and a pentagram in the Japanese version, which was changed to simply stars in the English version.
