Bosses are very powerful Noise or other creatures usually found at the very end of a Day in The World Ends with You and NEO: The World Ends with You.
In TWEWY, major bosses that are unique in terms of species, including all reaper bosses, are encountered as part of the main story in scripted events and, with the exception of Draco Cantus and Panthera Cantus, can be found in blue noise symbols during postgame gameplay. Bosses that are variations of "common" noise species are either found in scripted battles or in blue noise symbols, but never both. Those "common" bosses found in symbols can be encountered during the main story and are the only blue symbols to appear prior to unlocking post-game content.

List of major bosses[]
- Ovis Cantus - Can be fought on 1-7 by entering the station underpass and either trying to exit to the right or scanning and fighting the Blue Noise after beating the game. Is opponent 2 in Final Time Attack on Another Day.
- Leo Cantus/Sho Minamimoto - Can be fought on 2-7 by either reaching the top of Pork City or by scanning in Shibukyu Main Store and fighting the Blue Noise postgame. Is opponent 4 in Final Time Attack.
- Tigris Cantus - Can be fought either by talking to Taboo Minamimoto in Rubicon on 3-7 or by scanning at the Statue of Hachiko on 3-6 and fighting the Blue Noise postgame. Is opponent 9 in Final Time Attack.
- Anguis Cantus - Can be fought either by entering the Room of Reckoning on 3-7 or by scanning on the far right side of Rubicon and fighting the Blue Noise postgame. Is the final opponent in Final Time Attack.
- Draco Cantus - Can only be fought by beating Anguis Cantus in the Room of Reckoning on 3-7.
- Panthera Cantus, located at the very top of Pork City in Another Day, is incredibily strong and is generally considered to be the game's superboss.
List of Reaper bosses[]
- Reaper Beat - Is fought at three points during Week 2 and the fight ends after a certain time. In the postgame, he appears as Blue Noise in 10-4 on 1-4. Is opponent 3 in Final Time Attack.
- Uzuki Yashiro - Is fought by trying to leave Tipsy Tose Hall on 3-3 after Makoto and his boss's conversation or by scanning the Moyai Statue on 3-1 postgame, though her noise is right next to Kariya's. She is fought with Kariya after beating him on 3-4. She alone is opponent 6 in Final Time Attack.
- Koki Kariya - Is fought after scanning at Towa Records on 3-4, and then is fought with Uzuki immediately afterwards. Can also be found as Blue Noise next to Uzuki at the Moyai statue postgame. He alone is opponent 7 in Final Time Attack.
- Uzuki Yashiro (Berserk) and Koki Kariya (Berserk) - Are fought in 3-5 by talking to them in Udagawa or by scanning there in 2-5 and fighting the Blue Noise postgame. They are opponent 8 in Final Time Attack.
- Sho Minamimoto (Taboo) - Is fought at Cadoi City on 3-6, but you may lose to him. His postgame Blue Noise is at Tipsy Tose Hall on 2-2.
- Megumi Kitaniji - Is fought in Dead God's Pad on 3-7 with a possessed Shiki Misaki and as a Blue Noise at the Scramble Crossing on 1-4. Is opponent 10 in Final Time Attack.
- Uzuki Yashiro (Expert Mode) and Koki Kariya (Expert Mode) - Are fought at the end of A New Day 1.

- Metal Corehog - Is fought when summoned by Uzuki on 1-2 as the end-of-the-day boss. A special boss noise that can't be found and/or fought otherwise.
- Vespertillo Canor - Is fought after getting the tech back to the concert stage on 1-3 and listening to him or by scanning the Blue Noise there at the same day and place postgame.
- Swing Shark - Is fought at the end of 1-4 after being summoned by Uzuki and Kariya. A special boss noise that's only other location is in A New Day.
- Circle Pit Grizzly - Is fought when summoned by Yodai Higashizawa on 1-5 as the end-of-the-day boss. A special boss noise that can't be found and/or fought otherwise.
- Cornix Canor - Is fought in the West Exit Bus Terminal on 1-7 or as Blue Noise postgame at Molco on 1-5. Is the first opponent in Final Time Attack.
- Dub Rhino - Is fought when summoned by Sho Minamimoto on 2-1 as the end-of-the-day boss. A special boss noise that can't be found and/or fought otherwise.
- Progfox - Can be fought optionally as Blue Noise at Miyashita Park on 2-3.
- Grindcore Minks - Can be fought optionally as Blue Noise at AMX on 2-6.
- Woolly AOR - Can be fought optionally as Blue Noise at the Scramble Crossing on 3-2.
- Pteropus Canor - Is fought by examining the !!! at the Concert Stage on 3-2 or by scanning there on 3-3 postgame. Is opponent 5 in Final Time Attack.
- Goth Metal Drake - Is fought optionally as Blue Noise at Dogenzaka on 3-5.
- Dissonance Shark - Is fought at the end of A New Day 2.
- Dissonance Tapir - Is fought at the end of A New Day 3.
